Pilates Group Mat Classes
Cathy currently teaches group Pilates Mat Classes (following the Traditional East Coast method) at the Jorgensen YMCA. You are encouraged to call the YMCA at 260-432-8953 to register and check on session dates, days and class times, fees for members/non-members and available space.
Classes taught include;
Level 1- A beginner level class appropriate for those just starting in Pilates, returning after a prolonged absence or those with health issues (pending doctors release).
This class does not use any equipment.
Level 2- An intermediate to advanced class that incorporates more challenging and varied execises and routines.
Small apparatus such as towels, hand weights and magic circles are often utilized.
Standing and wall work may be incorporated. Admission to this class is by instructor permission only.
All Levels-As noted, this class is for individuals of any level needing a complete workout.
You are guided to work at your own fitness and experience level.
Pilates for Golfers-A seasonal class designed to focus on Pilates exercises that benefit any level of fitness and golf ability.
Teen Pilates-A seasonal class perfect for the active or athletic teen looking to add to their fitness routine.
Cathy also teaches an All Levels Mat Class on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Homestead High School Ninth Grade Academy.
This class meets on a six or seven week rotating schedule and is primarily for adults, though interested older teens may be admitted.
