Cathy Strack earned her Pilates Certification through White Cloud Studios in Cleveland, Ohio, under Troy McCarty. She completed this training in September, 2003.
In 2005, Cathy was able to attend the Pilates Method Alliance Annual Conference in Palm Springs, CA. While there she attended workshops presented by Kathy Grant, Lolita San Miguel, Kathy Corey and Alan
Herdman. In 2006, she attended workshops presented by Bob Liekens. In 2007 she attended the Pilates Style Conference in New York and attended workshops presented by Ron Fletcher and Kathi Ross-Nash.
She was also present for the historic breakfast meeting of four of the five Elders.

Strack). Cathy also attended the PMA Conference in Orlando in November and attended a workshop led by Mary Bowen.
Her next trip is to Dallas, Texas to see the elusive Jay Grimes. He studied with the Pilates' in the 1960's. Along with ongoing self study, she travels to New York on a yearly basis to attend classes and private lessons, to keep her skills sharp in the Traditional East Coast method.
Cathy has been an ACE Certified Personal Trainer since 1998. She is a recovered couch potato, having taught traditional dance Aerobics, Step Aerobics, Kickboxing, Slide, Weightlifting, Stationary Cycling classes and a variety of traditional toning classes. She is also certified in Yoga having taken Yogafit Level 1 & 3 Certification courses.
She does not teach Yoga as she does not like it very much. In 2005, she completed 3 half marathons, two 5K's and one 10K. She continues to train for running events with thoughts of completing a marathon.
Prior to turning her attention to fitness full time, Cathy earned a Master's degree in Psychology and was a licensed practicing psychotherapist for 14 years. She continues to work occasionally in this field, teaching college courses and conducting intelligence testing.
